More than 15 million years ago, moldavites were formed during one of the most extraordinary events in our planet's history. Since then, they have been hidden beneath the surface of the South Bohemian landscape, awaiting discovery.

Thanks to the My Moldavite experiential mining, you have a unique opportunity to experience a moment that few people will – to excavate your own moldavite directly from the original moldavite-bearing layer, where it has rested for millions of years.

This is not about searching in a field or sifting through pre-prepared material. You will enter a real legal mine and search in a place where moldavites are found naturally.

What Awaits You

• Entry to a legal mine in the Besednice locality

• Searching for moldavites in the original moldavite-bearing layer

• Rental of all necessary equipment

• Expert guidance and interpretation

• Minimum 2 hours of actual mining

• Total program duration approximately 3 hours

The capacity of one excursion is usually 6–8 participants.

Price: 3,000 CZK per person

If you find more than 5 grams of moldavites, you can purchase your finds under preferential conditions.

Conversely, if you do not find the required quantity, you can choose moldavites from the same locality from our stock.
